New Rotoline machine from Brazil

After a lot of planning, the new Rotoline arrived in May 2008 directly from Brazil. By the end of June, the assembly of the Rotoline had been completed and production trials began. As this is the first Rotoline in New Zealand, we had professional assistance from abroad to assist us in running the new Rotoline. This proved invaluable as our knowledge increased dramatically after every trial and resulted in greater efficiency in moulding times. It has been a busy time over the past few months with the set up and trials, however the new Rotoline is proving to be a real asset.

A first for Wellington Schools

Wellington East Girls College have gone where no other Wellington school has gone before- down the path of rainwater harvesting guided by the Director of Massey University's Roof Water Research Centre, Stan Abbott. Devan in conjunction with ICO Polymers donated 5 Urban Slimline 1000 Ltr water tanks for the rainwater harvesting project that Wellington East Girls College have undertaken. The project includes scientific testing of the water harvested from the roof of the school. At Devan, we believe that educating future generations about sustainable practices is important for a more sustainble New Zealand.

Tank Take Away Programme

The headache of what to do about old plastic water tanks has been solved by Devan's new recycling programme.  Devan's new Tank Take Away Programme provides a solution to the problem of dealing with large redundant plastic tanks past their use by date.  Devan will collect any brand of old plastic tank for recycling when delivering a new one.  The Tank Take Away programme is one plank in the company's product stewardship programme and aims to account for products through their life cycle, from manufacture to end of life in a responsible manner. See the Tank Take Away Programme page.
